Not every cruise is about parties or big groups.
Some voyages are quiet, personal — and truly special.
This time, we had the honor of welcoming an extraordinary couple aboard Roxani: a German banker and a Brazilian diplomat, both living demanding international lives, constantly moving between countries and missions. Time together is rare for them, so when they finally find a few days, they choose carefully where to spend them.
For their escape, they chose Greece, Chalkidiki, and a private sailing yacht.
After embarking in Porto Carras, we set sail south to Porto Koufo, the deep natural fjord and perfect first anchorage. Surrounded by calm water and steep green hills, they enjoyed their first peaceful evening at anchor — far away from airports, schedules, and obligations.
The next day we crossed to the east coast of Sithonia and reached the magical lagoons of Diaporos Island at dusk. We stayed there for two nights, anchored in the shallow turquoise waters that make this place feel like a hidden paradise.
Days were slow and simple: swimming, sunbathing, reading on deck, and quiet conversations. With the dinghy, we went ashore to Vourvourou for small shopping, then returned to the yacht where we prepared a wonderful dinner on board, enjoyed under the stars with nothing but the sound of water around us.
On the third day, we sailed south to Sykia, docking for coffee and snacks at one of the relaxed beach bars — authentic, local, and unhurried. In the late afternoon we continued back to Porto Koufo, dropping anchor once more before heading ashore for a final dinner at our favorite taverna, Delfini.
The next morning, we sailed quietly back to Porto Carras, arriving before noon.
Four days.
No rush. No crowds. Just wind, sea, and time together.
Exactly what a private sailing cruise in Chalkidiki should be.
