This gentle four-day sailing cruise through Chalkidiki was all about relaxation, swimming, and discovering the region’s most beautiful anchorages. On board we welcomed a lovely family of four from Latvia and Italy, ready to enjoy the Aegean at an easy pace.
We departed from Porto Carras and sailed south along the west coast of Sithonia, stopping for refreshing swims in the clear waters of Agios Kyriaki and Toroni. With calm seas and warm sunshine, the cruise quickly settled into a relaxed rhythm. By late afternoon, we reached the deep, naturally protected bay of Porto Koufo, where we anchored for the night and enjoyed the quiet atmosphere of this remarkable harbor.
The next morning, we rounded Cape Sithonia and crossed over to the island’s eastern side, dropping anchor at Kalamitsi and Kriaritsi for snorkeling and diving in turquoise waters. In the afternoon, we continued north along the east coast of Sithonia, passing Sarti before reaching Ormos Panagias. There, we anchored close to the beach and went ashore by dinghy for a wonderful dinner at a seaside taverna, feet in the sand and the sea just a few steps away.
After dinner, the adventure continued with a short night sail to the famous lagoons behind Diaporos Island in Vourvourou. We dropped anchor in the calm, shallow waters and ended the day with a drink under a sky full of stars—one of those moments that make sailing in Chalkidiki truly special.
We remained at anchor until late the next morning, enjoying the peaceful lagoon before sailing east toward Ammouliani, in the northeastern part of the Singitic Gulf. Along the island’s west coast, we knew a beautiful hidden cove for swimming and relaxation, before setting sail again at sunset to reach the northeastern tip of the island. There, we docked in the small port of Ammouliani Village.
The evening and following day were spent exploring this charming island community. Our guests wandered through the village, discovered the surrounding beaches, and enjoyed the local gastronomy until early afternoon, when we set sail once more. Crossing the gulf on a south-southwest course, we rounded Sithonia again and returned to Porto Koufo, where we enjoyed our final dinner together at the well-known Delfini Taverna, right by the sea.
On the last morning, we completed the cruise with a scenic sail back to Porto Carras, bringing this relaxed and family-friendly sailing holiday to an end. Our guests left enchanted by Chalkidiki’s waters, anchorages, and villages—promising to return and sail with us again.
